The Cookley Cooking Kids was originally delivered as a young enterprise programme at Cookley Youth Club. A group of local young people were tasked with developing and creating a healthy eating cookbook, which other young people in their community would be able use and enjoy. As they progressed through the process they gained online digital badges for each enterprise task completed… and finally leading to the production and sale of the first Cookley Cooking Kids cookbook, themed around ‘Healthy Breakfasts’. Thanks to National Lottery Community Fund funding, 2023/24 will see the delivery of the innovative ‘Grow IT, Cook IT, Eat IT’ project.
